About the Indiana Department of Natural Resources The mission of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources is to protect, enhance, preserve, and wisely use natural, cultural, and recreational resources for the benefit of Indiana's citizens through professional leadership, management, and education.

Role Overview The position serves as agency-wide support for communication and network systems and assists DNR staff with telephones, cellular, and network equipment.

This position will work 20 hours per week. Weekly hours are flexible between the hours of 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and will be arranged with the manager.

Responsibilities

Working with Vizio to update Auto Attendant workflows for phone systems.

Editing and analyzing Excel workbooks to order Voice over IP Cisco Telephones and MS Teams Voice phones.

Ordering Cell Phones and iPads for users.

Support for Mobile Devices for users in the field.

Support for Network and Telephone Systems in the field.

Account Requests for new users in DNR for email and Active Directory.

Editing ArcGis Data to keep network information up to date.

Skills

Knowledge of cellular telephones and other wireless equipment as well as MS Office products.

Ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems and develop innovative solutions when needed.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and work independently.

Salary Statement The salary for this position traditionally starts at $15.00/hr but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

What You'll Need for Success

Knowledge of cellular telephones and other wireless equipment.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.

Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems and develop innovative solutions when needed.

Ability to read and understand complex manuals and blueprints.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Benefits of Employment with the State of Indiana This seasonal position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period.
