Title:
Controls and Instrumentation Technician
Location:
Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid in office and field)
Duration:
Direct Hire/Perm
Base pay range:
$70,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr
Required Qualifications:
2-year degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, ISA CCST Certification, or equivalent experience
Familiar with steam properties and test equipment necessary to measure steam flow, pressure and temperature, including frequency counters, current and voltage sources, differential pressure testers, and pressure testers
Able to work in hot and damp environments
Able to work in confined spaces
Work on live steam lines, up to 600 psig
Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain, test, install, modify, and calibrate steam meters, pressure reducing stations, sample analyzers, signal loops, and data recorders. Install new meter layouts.
Interact with the Billing Department on billing investigations and customer inquiries.
Ensure and maintain a safe work environment (including meters at customer sites).
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
Previous experience with differential pressure, pressure and temperature transmitters, valve and trap maintenance, pressure reducing valves, and sample analyzers.
Previous power plant instrument and controls experience.
