Industrial Security Administrator
Mercer Engineering Research Center – Warner Robins, GA Salary: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 Full‑time – Associate level – Administrative – Security and Research Services Overview
The Industrial Security Administrator supports the MERC Facility Security Officer (FSO) in day‑to‑day security recordkeeping, visit requests, and investigation package preparation. The role maintains OSA classified material logs, delivers routine security briefings, processes badge/access issuance, and assists in maintaining the facility clearance for the Center. Responsibilities
Perform DISS/NBIS data entry, reconciliation, and audit‑quality recordkeeping. Prepare visit requests and investigation packages for FSO review and submission. Maintain Open Storage Areas (OSAs) sign‑in/sign‑out logs and custodial control of classified material per SOPs. Deliver onboarding and refresher security briefings; track completion in the training registry. Process badge issuance and update access rosters per physical security procedures. Conduct self‑inspections using checklists, gather evidence, and document findings for supervisory review. Draft incident reports and collect evidence; immediately report to FSO for action. Follow chain‑of‑custody and records retention procedures for classified and sensitive materials. Adhere to instructions and pre‑established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Required Qualifications
Active Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance, up to the Top Secret level. 1–3 years in security administration, records management, or related operational support. Knowledge of NISPOM fundamentals, cyber awareness, and PII handling; familiarity with DISS/NBIS. Strong attention to detail, disciplined recordkeeping, and SOP compliance. Effective, professional, and diplomatic interaction with co‑workers and government agencies and officials. Excellent oral and written communication skills; proficient in PC applications. Knowledge of DCSA security concepts, practices, and procedures for receipt and storage of DoD classified materials. EEO Statement
