Position Title: Batch Developer
Work Location:

Anticipated Duration:

Mandatory Qualifications
Level III More than seven (7) years of experience working on complex projects, with at least two (2) years in a leadership role as a Developer.
Seven (7)+ years of experience developing and maintaining
batch processing solutions
for large-scale
financial management systems .
Seven (7)+ years of experience with
mainframe batch technologies
(COBOL, ECL, DMS/RDMS) and experience migrating them to a
cloud-native platform .
Desirable Qualifications
Three (3)+ years of experience as a
batch developer
on
Integrated Eligibility Systems (IES)
and/or
Child Support Services systems .
Experience addressing
child support specific functions , including:
Processing and reconciling
State Disbursement Unit (SDU)
transactions.
Handling
interstate payment transfers
under
UIFSA (Uniform Interstate Family Support Act) .
Managing
federal offset
and
tax intercept
batch jobs.
Experience maintaining
sequencing and audit trails
for child support disbursements and adjustments.
Experience designing
monitoring and exception handling
mechanisms for
high-volume, mission-critical batch jobs .
Knowledge of
federal and state policies
impacting child support
distribution, reconciliation, and financial reporting .
Bachelor s degree
in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience using
Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
native batch and data processing tools such as
Cloud Functions ,
Dataflow , and
Pub/Sub .
Duties and Responsibilities The
Batch Developer
will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining
high-volume batch processes
to ensure reliable and timely processing of financial transactions, including
collections, disbursements, adjustments, and reconciliation .
They will leverage
Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
tools to
re-engineer legacy mainframe batch jobs
into scalable,
cloud-native processes
that meet modern standards and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze existing
legacy mainframe batch jobs
and workflows; design equivalent
cloud-based
batch processes for near real-time operation on Google Cloud Platform.
Build and deploy
cloud-based batch processes
to handle high-volume data exchanges, including payment files, bank interfaces, and audit reports.
Align
batch processing schedules
with program needs for collections, disbursements, adjustments, and reconciliation.
Implement robust
error handling, monitoring, and recovery
mechanisms to ensure reliability and compliance with
federal and state regulations .
Support
data migration
through design of
ETL pipelines
ensuring accuracy and integrity of historical data.
Collaborate with
QA teams
to design and execute
volume, reconciliation, and exception handling tests .
Identify and recommend
process simplifications
or
business transformation opportunities
while maintaining compliance with
federal mandates .
Collaborate closely with
business analysts ,
data conversion specialists ,
QA teams , and
State SMEs
to deliver secure, accurate, and compliant batch operations.
