Position Summary
Assists management with the supervision of associates in assigned area of responsibility by assigning duties to associates, communicating goals and feedback, training associates on processes and procedures, providing direction and guidance on member service approaches and techniques to ensure member complaints are resolved according to company guidelines, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting the Open Door Policy, and participating in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates. What you\'ll do
Communicate and support membership by providing information on membership types, programs and benefits to current and prospective members. Process memberships, upgrades and credit accounts; encourage membership renewals; participate in sales and marketing events; complete and maintain marketing recaps and other required documentation. Strive to meet membership goals and promote the value of Sam\'s Club products and services. Provide member service by acknowledging the member, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, and guiding members on self-service technology. Assist members with transactions using registers or self-checkout and ensure club pickup orders are filled. Oversee assigned area by handling claims and returns, organizing merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, maintaining availability of carts and other materials, and assisting with member mobility and item transport as needed. Complete accounting records and documentation by following procedures, preparing deposits, and overseeing cash-related activities; investigate overages/shortages and maintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial information. Develop, communicate and implement processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers and partners; monitor progress and identify improvement opportunities. Demonstrate and promote compliance with company policies, procedures and ethics; explain and model application of these standards and assist management with addressing issues. Lead and participate in teams by coordinating work, providing feedback, and helping others adapt to change or new challenges. Respect the individual by embracing diversity, fostering belonging, and building a collaborative team environment; mentor and develop others and recognize contributions. Act with integrity by upholding high standards, accountability, and transparency; support Walmart\'s goal of responsible business practices.
