This is not for immediate hire. Candidates for the FEMA Cost Estimator position will be considered for Hagerty's internal Recovery Cadre pipeline. The FEMA Cost Estimator will develop detailed and accurate cost estimates leveraging FEMA’s Cost Estimating Format for both repair and replacement of local municipality facilities damaged by natural disasters. Responsibilities for the FEMA Cost Estimator
Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for all storm-damaged city facilities. Aid in documenting storm-related damages and developing detailed scopes of work. Aid damage assessment teams on field visits when needed. Interact with assessment teams and Project Managers to develop cost estimates. Lead discussions in meetings with FEMA and State Representatives on cost estimate related issues. Qualifications for the FEMA Cost Estimator
3+ years of experience in preparing storm-damage cost estimates 2+ years of recent experience estimating repair, remodel and new construction projects for disaster-related work Experience inspecting storm-damaged facilities Working knowledge of RS Means estimating software FEMA-related cost estimating experience Experience with FEMA’s Cost Estimating Format (CEF) Working knowledge of FEMA PA Laws, Regulations & Policy Bachelor's degree required, or 4 years of related work experience in lieu of degree Compensation for the FEMA Cost Estimator
Salary range of $85,000 - $125,000. Compensation decisions depend on a range of factors including skills, experience, certifications, internal equity, location, travel requirements, and organizational needs.
