Position: New York or Remote - Seasonal Tax Manager-FSO Insurance EY's National Tax Department (NTD) serves high-profile, national, and multinational clients, providing domestic and international transactional tax planning and advisory services. Our Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory Services (TARAS) practice assists companies with financial reporting for income taxes, including tax accounting, tax provision procedures, and controls design and testing. With over ten years of experience, this practice manages complex global tax reporting needs, emphasizing responsible and proactive tax obligation management. Your Key Responsibilities
As a Seasonal Manager, you will provide tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning, including internal restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP conversions, share-based compensation, financial statement restatements, and balance sheet remediation of tax accounts. You will also assist with tax provision preparation, review processes to improve efficiency and accuracy, and assess tax risk and control environments, including Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance. Bachelor's degree in a related field with significant tax or legal experience; MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM preferred Valid US CPA license or active state bar membership At least 5 years of experience in professional services, tax, law, or IRS Broad understanding of federal income taxation Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ASC 740 and/or IAS 12, corporate tax planning, and compliance, or equivalent industry experience with broad federal income taxation exposure. What We Look For
