Teamster priority period runs from March 1, 2022 - March 8, 2022 Assistant Gardener Facilities Management - Landcare Department Reports To: Landcare Maintenance Supervisor Overview: The assistant gardener is responsible for assisting with the care of grounds and gardens on the University of MN Twin Cities campus. Responsibilities: These include planting, maintaining beds, mowing, irrigation, pruning, installing stormwater gardens, operating grounds maintenance equipment, cleaning facilities, and other related tasks. This role may be designated as essential, with the employer reserving the right to assign additional duties. Additional Information: This is a 12-month, full-time, Teamster Unit 3 position, with benefits and a probationary period of 720 hours. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent and one year of experience or education in grounds maintenance. Experience as a lead worker. Valid Driver's License. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs repeatedly. Essential Qualification: Regular attendance. Preferred Qualifications: Valid MDA pesticide license. Experience operating grounds maintenance equipment. Preferred Skills: Effective communication with staff. Ability to lead student workers. Pay and Benefits

Pay Range:

$23.18-$26.96/hr, depending on experience. Position Details:
