Actuarial Analyst II
to join our team focused on innovative Property & Casualty insurance solutions. In this role, you will collaborate on developing new product offerings and will take ownership of technical actuarial assignments. The position involves applying analytical techniques to drive product performance and pricing decisions. This is a hybrid role requiring four days per week in-office. Available work locations include: San Antonio, TX; Plano, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Colorado Springs, CO; Charlotte, NC; Chesapeake, VA; or Tampa, FL. Please note: Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Key Responsibilities Utilize actuarial techniques independently to manage and execute structured analysis and modeling tasks. Design and implement tools for evaluating methodologies that enhance predictive accuracy and support algorithm refinement. Conduct variable selection and testing to improve product rating structures. Identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements using quantitative methods. Troubleshoot technical issues, escalating complex problems when appropriate. Create documentation, training guides, and best practice materials for internal tools and processes. Support onboarding and mentoring efforts for junior analysts. Translate technical insights into strategic business recommendations. Communicate findings and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ensure compliance with risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements in all assigned tasks. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree; or an additional four years of relevant analytical or actuarial experience may substitute in lieu of a degree. At least 2 years of relevant experience in actuarial science, data analytics, or a similar field. Completion of at least 3 exams from the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS). Strong command of actuarial and statistical concepts used in data-driven decision-making. Working knowledge of tools and languages such as Python, SQL, R, SAS, and BI platforms for data analysis and visualization. Ability to link technical models to real-world business challenges. Preferred Background Background in pricing or analysis for personal lines of P&C insurance. Experience with unconventional or emerging insurance product lines. Proven success in launching or supporting the rollout of new products. Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach to complex challenges. Past or present connection to the military community (veteran, reservist, spouse, etc.). *Unable to provide sponsorship for this position Seniority level
