Oliver James Title: Senior Actuarial Analyst - Health Location: Hybrid or Remote (Must reside in Arizona) Type: FTE Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 + Bonus Only those who do not require any current or future sponsorship can be considered, no 3rd parties This business is a non-profit health insurance company that provides health insurance and related services to over 2 million customers in Arizona. Key Responsibilities

Determine appropriate and competitive premium levels for Individual, Commercial, and Government products under general supervision. Prepare and submit rate filings to federal and state regulatory agencies. Analyze benefit changes, perform competitive analyses, and summarize findings. Conduct financial forecast modeling to evaluate business segment profitability. Assess the impact of benefit changes and develop pricing factors to ensure sufficient premium coverage across product lines. Create sensitivity analyses and present results to management. Demonstrate strong knowledge of product lines, pricing strategies, and forecasting for Individual, Commercial, and Government markets. Take initiative to conduct research beyond assigned tasks. Make meaningful contributions to the team's workload, balancing task volume and complexity. What We're Looking For

2+ years of experience as a health actuary Proficient in spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software at an intermediate to advanced level. Possess basic proficiency in data warehouse querying tools and programming languages. Strong analytical skills to develop reports, actuarial analyses, and mathematical models, and to make informed decisions based on data-driven insights. Demonstrated ability to independently solve problems and draw accurate conclusions from incomplete data using fundamental actuarial and mathematical modeling techniques. Capable of navigating ambiguity and making well-reasoned recommendations despite conflicting or limited information, while effectively managing time and priorities. Committed to maintaining confidentiality and protecting sensitive information. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels and departments. Skilled in translating complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language for non-technical audiences.
