Overview
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Plant Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $130,000 to $145,000 per year.
Responsibilities
Maintain optimal factory control, including fixed asset and inventory oversight
Develop and maintain procedures to improve internal control and ensure financial compliance
Analyze variances and prepare reports to support cost optimization across manufacturing operations
Perform month-end book closing with a focus on COGM and asset processes for accurate reporting
Oversee factory cost budgeting and provide variance analysis between actuals and budget
Requirements
Provide oversight for plant controls and risk prevention while driving process efficiency
Support SOP setup, implementation, and internal control requirements
Represent factory finance in audits, tax filings, insurance matters, and regulatory requests
Develop costing standards to support profitability analysis and business decisions
Lead cost reviews and support cost optimization initiatives with measurable execution plans
Qualifications
5+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
A Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree or CPA/CMA preferred
Exhibit strong quantitative analysis skills and advanced Excel proficiency
Show experience with SAP costing systems and financial reporting tools
Communicate effectively and solve problems in a dynamic, high-performance setting
