4 weeks ago Be among the first 25 applicants in office 4 days per week, One day per week from home after probation period, probably on Fridays Salary is $110K/$120K + 10% Bonus on objectives and full package: Health Insurance, 401K, vacation, etc… Controller Job Description Our Finance and HR Manager will undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Finance and HR Manager responsibilities will also include supervision HR, office and compliance management with one report. Responsibilities Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances Prepare and publish timely monthly PL and financial statements Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting Research technical accounting issues for compliance Support month-end and year-end close process Work with CPA for yearly audit Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings including Beverage Tax Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Additional controller duties as necessary HR/Office Supervision Payroll Processing & Benefits and limited HR functions Licenses and Brand Registrations Relation with office Tenant, landlord and other providers Office supplies and expenses Requirements Proven working experience as a Controller 10+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience Advanced degree in Accounting, minimum of a BA; CPA and/or MBA preferred Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures Experience with creating financial statements Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process Excellent accounting software user and administration skills, Sage 100 highly recommended Technology savvy with experience selecting and overseeing software installations and managing relationships with software vendors; advanced knowledge of accounting and reporting software Commitment to recruiting, mentoring, training, and retaining a diverse team; the foresight and ability to delegate accordingly Keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills which allows for strategic data interpretation versus. simple reporting Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, board or other outside partners Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and loyalty Location New York, NY, office based.
