Who You are You are an experienced
Controller
with a strong finance background who has a passion for business operations and management. You will play an integral role in helping multiple clients across different industries by providing in-depth financial and analytical guidance. You are a solutions-oriented problem solver who aims to provide the best Client experience, enjoys leading a team, and operates with a high level of autonomy in a fast-paced environment.
Your experience encompasses:
6+ years of operational accounting/finance experience
Managing a team as a people leader
Overseeing full-cycle accounting for a growth stage or middle market company
Delivering financial results, positions, and insights to executive leaders (C‑Suite)
Working knowledge of various accounting software and PEO services
Experience with intercompany transactions and consolidating financial statements
Experience with revenue recognition and inventory management as per GAAP standards
Experience with multinational accounting and merger/acquisition, a plus
Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance
Master's Degree, a plus
CPA, a plus
What you’ll do: Our Clients vary from industry to size, and no two accounts are the same. However, our responsibility to provide sound financial services and operations support across the portfolio is a must. You will be helping define our Clients' needs while building and managing a team. In addition, you’ll be managing various financial, operational and management tasks and responsibilities that include:
Client Services
Onboarding new Clients while identifying their needs and building relationships with the Founders and Leadership
Overseeing multiple accounts and ensuring Client satisfaction and success
Professional liaison for our Clients and their partners, customers, and vendors
Helping Clients navigate day‑to‑day business decisions and consult on financial goals and issues
Partnering with Black Ink’s team of experts to deliver for our clients
Accounting
Designing and developing accounting processes and procedures
Overseeing various accounting processes, and providing guidance, and evaluation
Preparing reports and making recommendations by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Be a trusted resources to Managers and Accountants
Leading key accounting milestones, i.e., month‑end and annual financial and tax audit
Location
This is a hybrid position (3 days in the office/2 days remote)
