Prospective Coding Quality Auditors will play an essential role in ensuring HEDIS compliance and supporting quality improvement initiatives within the Quality Department. Responsibilities
Conduct clinical quality audits and overreads for the Quality Department. Identify and report issues related to clinical audits to determine potential areas for quality improvement within the HEDIS project. Collect data by chart extraction using objective specifications for the HEDIS program. Review outpatient medical records, hospital records, clinical lab, and pharmacy records. Perform chart audits electronically during the audit season. Maintain all collected records confidentially. Communicate collaboratively with clinic and other staff. Promote team concept and reflect the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy. Complete HEDIS training prior to performing chart abstractions. Position Type & Duration
Position Type: Temporary, Per Diem, Non Benefitted. Length of Program: January 2026 – May 2026. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday. Weekly Hours: 40. Work Location: Beaverton, OR (Remote work accepted for eligible states). Remote Work Eligibility
Alaska Washington Montana Oregon California Texas – Levelland, Lubbock or Plainview area New Mexico Qualifications
Technical certification or licensure: Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant, or Licensed Practical Nurse upon hire. H.S. Diploma or GED. 3 years of medical record audit experience, EMR experience, and ability to interpret medical terminology. 2 years of HEDIS, quality management, and utilization review auditing experience. 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant, or LPN. Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s Degree – Nursing or Healthcare related field, Health Information Management degree. Experience with health plans, project management, data analysis, and/or case review. Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $35.66 – $55.37 per hour (base). Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, and bonus opportunities.
