Responsibilities and qualifications for this role are described below.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies for effective invoice processing and payment management.
Coordinate with other departments to resolve vendor disputes and financial discrepancies.
Approve payment runs and ensure adherence to company policies.
Manage the vendor onboarding process, including payment terms decisions.
Oversee annual 1099 filing process.
Ensure new acquisitions are properly set up to support payment processing.
Manage multiple competing priorities and ensure timely responses to requests.
Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects as needed.
Lead staff members to ensure timely payment processing.
Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Proven experience in accounts payable, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in relevant software, including Microsoft Office (Excel) and accounts payable systems.
Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The role frequently involves sitting, walking, standing, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with arms and hands.
Work Environment This position operates primarily in a professional office environment. Occasional business travel may be required.
