Night Auditor covers the overnight shift and closes all reporting functions for the day. This person serves as the main point of contact for guests during the overnight hours to ensure an exceptional personalized service that is consistent and in accordance with the Management Company of Mainsail Lodging & Development.
What you have
High School diploma or higher
Previous hospitality experience preferred
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to use PMS systems, Opera a Plus
What you’ll do
Follow procedures to audit shift closing of all front office staff, including personally closing shift three and completing an audit summary for each shift
Produce accurate reports and handle all cash transactions
Provide relief support to hotel PBX operator during shift
Maintain and post daily balances of house accounts, run reconciliations, detail transactions, and prepare reports for accounting
Reconcile cashier’s reports with restaurant system, research and post unresolved tickets
Balance and audit room revenue, food and beverage revenue, cashiers’ reports, and guest accounts for accuracy
Transmit credit card batches
Complete and transmit daily management and accounting reports
Act as hotel system liaison during night hours
Perform Guest Service Representative functions as needed, including booking reservations, answering calls, and notifying guests of messages
Provide warm, friendly hospitality to guests
Handle cash accurately
Assist in delivering an exceptional guest experience to achieve high GSS scores
Physical Demands
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
Ability to bend
Lift or pull up to 40 lbs
Communicate clearly
Corrected vision to normal range
Work long hours as needed
Mental Demands
Make sound judgments quickly
Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Work independently and provide guidance to others
