Be responsible for performing basic level accounting duties of assigned projects, such as revenue recognition, transactional accounting and invoicing. Ensure the project is in compliance with contractual obligations, as appropriate. Work under close supervision. Key Responsibilities
Invoicing: Generate, audit and distribute draft invoices and/or credit memos to Project Management for review based on understanding of contract; obtain appropriate approval and distribution; may generate tax calculations; may research past due invoices. Financial Analysis: Support project-related financial analysis by providing requested information. Financial Reporting: Review revenue recognition on project income statement for accuracy and identify deviations from budget vs forecast. Budgeting and Forecasting: Update project budgets and current forecasted costs; assist in preparation and analysis of budget and forecast. Projects: Assist in structuring and opening projects in accounting system; administer project cash disbursements; communicate project financial information to management; identify material variances. Compliance: Assist with audit requests by providing supporting documentation. Supervisory and Resource Management: Support continuous improvement efforts and change management related to improvements. Qualifications
Minimum: typically 2+ years related experience. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree. Preferred Technical Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Basic); Knowledge of Black and Veatch systems (Basic); Knowledge of percent complete accounting (Basic); Technical accounting knowledge (Basic). Preferred Non-Technical Skills: Organizing, Planning, Written Communications, Informing, Peer Relationships. Work Environment and Benefits
