Commercial Underwriter JCW is partnering with an established MGA, looking to hire an experienced Commercial Underwriter. This role is key in underwriting and managing commercial lines submissions across various states, coming from the Wholesale or MGA space. Key Responsibilities Evaluate, quote, and bind new and renewal commercial lines business in accordance with carrier guidelines and internal underwriting authority. Collaborate with internal teams and brokers to ensure accurate and timely processing of submissions and endorsements. Perform regulatory research as needed to support expansion into new states or lines of business, including licensing or filing requirements relevant to underwriting operations. Qualifications 3+ years of underwriting experience in commercial lines, preferably within a wholesale, MGA, or MGU environment. Familiarity with insurance licensing, regulatory filings, and operational processes across multiple states is a plus. Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset when working across underwriting, compliance, and sales teams. Seniority level
