Breedr, a recently funded Series A Agtech start-up based in Austin, Texas, is seeking a
Finance Manager
to manage the day-to-day finance functions of the business. The role involves account reconciliation, balance sheet analysis, monthly reporting, tax reporting, and budget preparation. The candidate will also create and maintain financial models and forecasts to support informed decision-making by the senior leadership team. Responsibilities
Monitor company bank accounts to reconcile cash receipts with trades through Breedr’s online Marketplace and ensure timely invoicing and remittances while safeguarding customer remittances. Perform account reconciliations. Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and statements. Develop cash flow forecasts and budgets. Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient funds are available. Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly and quarterly). Update the company’s 5-year financial plan to support valuation metrics and fundraising efforts. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Recently qualified CAA or CPA. Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUPs, IF statements, ranges, pivot tables, and formulas). Experience with Xero accounting software. Strong analytical skills. Experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
