If you are experienced in project controls, program finance, and earned value management within the aerospace or defense industry, you will be excited about the Project Controls Analyst opening with Iridium. You will independently deliver high-quality work and drive projects and deliverables to completion, including ensuring compliance with Program Finance and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) requirements throughout program implementation and execution. You will focus primarily on establishing and maintaining program cost baselines, conducting Estimate at Completion (EAC) and variance analyses, applying EVM principles, supporting contract execution from award to closeout, and developing and maintaining business logs and monthly deliverable reports. What You'll Do:
Act as a partner to program management and aid them in identifying, managing, and mitigating cost and schedule risks Establish initial contract baselines and support Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), when required Work collaboratively with Program Managers, Control Account Managers (CAMs), and technical personnel to ensure Earned Value Management principles are applied to program management procedures Prepare and maintain spend plans, develop and review Estimate at Complete (EAC), and incorporate changes into the EVMS system to maintain cost and schedule baselines Support financial reporting and analysis activities in compliance with program requirements, including processing Integrated Program Management Reports (IPMRs) Assist CAMs with EVM activities including WBS development and alignment; time-phasing of tasks; developing and documenting earned value methodologies; performance measurement; estimate to complete analysis and updates; and variance analysis research and reporting Be responsible for actuals reconciliation and facilitating/dispositioning budget change requests Incorporate contractual changes into the control system by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines Assist in the analysis of root causes of variance and abnormalities What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline from an accredited college/university 5+ years of professional experience in business management or related fields Experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry, particularly with DoD (Department of Defense) Working knowledge and experience with EVM Strong PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel with pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, and other advanced functions) Strong communication skills to confidently present products, deliverables, analyses, and issues Analytical mindset with ability to understand situations and think critically to make decisions or propose solutions Comfort managing upward with proactive communication and seeking help when needed Ability to establish valuable relationships and work with others Strong task prioritization and ownership over work Active interest in continuous learning and knowledge growth Things That Would Be Great to Bring:
Master's degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline Active/Current Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) We’ll Also Need You To:
This position directly performs under, supports, or is exposed to a U.S. government contract. To comply with the requirements of that contract, applicants must be U.S. citizens Work Environment
This position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary, with the majority of the role involving computer work. The role requires typical office equipment usage such as phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
