Our Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) provides guidance and assistance to help students secure funds for their education and understand their rights and responsibilities of receiving aid. Job Summary

This position determines eligibility for and manages the awarding of student financial aid from federal, state, institutional and other sources. Responsibilities include assisting students with the FAFSA, counseling on financial aid programs, reviewing documentation, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with federal/state laws and university regulations. The role supports enrolling and retaining students who may need financial assistance. Responsibilities

Counsel students and families regarding financial aid eligibility, available programs, disbursement procedures, and renewal requirements. Educate on how enrollment changes affect aid eligibility and advise on alternatives such as payment plans to meet deadlines. Provide high-quality customer service for FAFSA submissions, documentation, and verification processes. Identify and assist students facing challenges affecting their academic or financial standing; coordinate with Admissions, Registrar, Academic Advising, and Student Accounts. Review, reconcile, and verify data submitted via FAFSA; investigate rejected FAFSAs and determine appropriate resolutions. Assist with awarding and adjustments of financial aid packages; perform Return to Title IV calculations and ensure fund disbursement accuracy. Support system file loads, data integrity tasks, and contribute to process improvements. Engage in professional development and training; mentor other staff as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three years of financial aid or related work experience. Preferred:

Experience with Department of Education software (FAA Access, NSLDS, COD, Return to Title IV), Ellucian Banner, CampusLogic. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Knowledge of federal/state statutes on eligibility and distribution of aid; FERPA; excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills; detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities; ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to use systems like Ellucian Banner, CampusLogic, Slate CRM; ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks; ability to build collaborative relationships and provide excellent customer service. Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days; Monday–Friday Salary: $20.29/hour to $21.89/hour; pay commensurate with qualifications Full-time benefits eligible; includes health/dental/life insurance, retirement options, paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, and tuition assistance for long-term employees Conditions of Employment
