Company and Location Hydro Extrusions is a world-leading aluminium extrusion business with around 100 production sites in 40 countries and 20,000 employees. Job locations: Elkhart, IN; North Liberty, IN.
Job Summary The Finance Analyst is responsible for the General Ledger and Month-end close and for financial statement preparation and reporting. Supports the timely reporting of daily, monthly and annual financial and operational data. This role offers broad exposure to financial planning, reporting and operational support and positions the analyst for future leadership within the finance department. Reports directly to the Controller.
Required Education/Experience
Minimum of three years' experience in similar roles, preferably including experience in a plant operation environment.
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
Proficient in ERP systems (Oracle, SAP).
Experience with manufacturing KPIs.
Knowledge of capital expenditure tracking.
Experience preparing financial reports, cost analysis and performance metrics.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications
Previous manufacturing experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
Understanding of standard costing principles and variance analysis.
Ability to perform inventory valuation, reconcile inventory accounts, and analyze inventory movements.
Understanding of internal controls, compliance standards and support for audit processes.
Job Responsibilities
Implement, sponsor, and support continuous reliability improvement standards and practices.
Accountable for accurate standard costs and the annual review process, inventory costing and absorption testing.
Prepare data for journal entries during month-end closing processes.
Demonstrate critical thinking, forward thinking, and results orientation.
Provide financial analysis support, including cost control opportunities and working capital management.
Maintain excellent communication and analytical skills; experience with Oracle is a plus.
Review internal controls for design and operating effectiveness.
Assist and support monthly closing cycles and planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
Support payroll and the creation of annual business plans.
Support month-end closing and analysis of actual profits and losses vs. budget monthly.
Support cost studies and customer profit analysis; assist with annual fixed asset inventory.
