Position Details Assistant Cook at PH Miller Elementary School for the 2025-26 School Year
General Description of Position To serve students warm, attractive, and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and friendliness.
Responsibilities
Attend work regularly, dress appropriately, request approval for time off, and report for work on time.
Report daily to the Head Cook for assigned duties.
Assist in food preparation according to the daily menu and health standards.
Prepare serving stations and present food appealingly.
Assist in food preparation, serving, and clean-up efficiently and courteously.
Serve staff and students in a kind, courteous, and polite manner.
Follow standardized menus and portion control guidelines.
Assist with extra activities in the Food Service Department as needed.
Assist with ordering food and communicate needs to the Head Cook.
Serve food during lunch and refill items quickly and accurately.
Complete cleaning tasks as assigned by the Head Cook.
Assist with checking food purchases and recording meal transactions.
Demonstrate cooperation, courtesy, and a willingness to improve conditions for staff and students.
Perform other related tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Compensation Based on Plano CUSD 88's Collective Bargaining Agreement.
