Graymont is seeking a Finance Business Partner, NA (Central Region). Reporting to the Director, Financial Analysis and Operations Support, NA, the Finance Business Partner will support plant operations in the Central region regarding financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and other support including capital projects and compliance. The Finance Business Partner will be the main contact for finance-related matters for sales and operations teams.
Responsibilities
Review plant operation results proactively, conduct meetings with Plant Managers to discuss performance, analyze variances, and collaborate with departments to resolve issues.
Assist in preparing budgets, multi-year plans, and forecasts.
Support analysis of capital and strategic projects, review proposals, and assist with post-audit reviews.
Conduct financial assessments such as pricing adjustments and product profitability analysis.
Oversee accounting controls, review data accuracy, ensure policy compliance, and assist with purchasing and accounts payable processes.
Support external audits and liaise between operations and accounting.
Support property management, leases, permits, and compliance with regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
4 to 7 years of experience in cost and management accounting.
Professional accounting designation is an asset.
Familiarity with ERP and Business Intelligence solutions (JD Edwards, Cognos).
Ability to interpret financial results and experience with NPV and IRR analysis.
Demonstrated ability to drive value creation and collaborate with sales and operations teams.
Willingness to travel within North America (~25%).
Excellent communication skills; bilingual in French is an asset.
