Join Our Team as an Operations Accountant and Grow Your Career with Webber. The Operations Accountant is part of the Accounting Department and will evaluate project contracts and related documents, identify risk and exposure, and communicate findings to the appropriate levels within the organization. Ferrovial Webber Energy is a 50/50 joint venture between Webber and Ferrovial Energy. What You Will Do
Analyze project documents and develop reports for Energy construction projects Monitor and analyze job performance, budgets, and manage forecast updates and revisions Communicate regularly with Project Managers, Area Managers, and Operations Executives on various topics Oversee job cost allocations to ensure costs are captured accurately and reflect project financial results in accordance with company policies Innovate in the development of new ideas to improve accounting systems Prepare accruals and deferrals and share with project managers and the Finance team Verify that quantities claimed match the owner’s estimate Analyze budgets and job costs, notifying Project Managers of budget variances and risks Review, audit, and suggest improvements to job costs during budget cycles Prepare financial reports from multiple data points for management and external parties Assist in developing regular budgets to support long-term planning Create, review, share, and respond to periodic reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly) Generate ad-hoc payroll reports as requested Input information into Microsoft Excel and create documents in Microsoft Word Maintain an organized work area, filing system, and to-do list to meet deadlines Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously Other duties as assigned Who You Are
Location: The Woodlands, TX Currently pursuing a diploma (minimum 2-year program), preferably in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field Two or more years of experience in budgeting, financial statement analysis, and executive reporting Two or more years of construction-related work experience Two or more years of experience using SAP or a similar ERP Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, Word, Access, and PowerPoint Ability to perform Construction Math and financial calculations Clear English communication skills; bilingual in Spanish is valuable Moderate physical activity; ability to perform administrative tasks What You'll Love: The Webber Advantage
