Job Summary/Objective:
As the Senior Manager, EHS at Southwire, you will provide pivotal safety leadership, leading a diverse workforce through best-in-class strategies, programs, and processes at our level one site. Leading our Culture of Zero, you are tasked with developing, implementing, directing, and enforcing EH&S procedures, programs, and processes. Your goal is to ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements and to minimize EH&S risks to the company, its team members, the environment, and the communities where we operate.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and create synergies for environmental, safety, and health matters across the level one site, managing EHS professionals.
Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive EH&S procedures, programs, and processes in alignment with regulatory and company requirements.
Audit and monitor activities to ensure all safety and health regulatory requirements are being met. Including but not limited to Key Performance Measures (KPIs), TTIs expectations, identifying opportunities for improvement, and providing recommendations based on findings.
Educate and train team members on EH&S policies, behavior-based safety principles, and energy-based safety components, ensuring understanding and compliance across the workforce.
Manage and execute safe work procedures, conduct EHS audits/inspections, and lead safety/security projects based on identified budget to address risk reduction and compliance assurance.
Oversee contractor safety, ensuring all external partners adhere to Southwire's EHS standards.
Lead incident investigations, develop injury prevention plans, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Communicate effectively with the EHS Director, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders, providing regular updates and reports on EHS performance.
Drive continuous improvement in EHS practices, fostering a culture of zero safety and environmental.
Provides technical assistance and guidance in risk-related matters, including ergonomics, industrial hygiene, safety, environmental, incident investigation, business resiliency, and occupational health processes and regulatory agencies.
Required Education & Experience Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering, Occupational Health, or related field
Years of Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in EHS roles within a manufacturing or industrial environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership position overseeing a significant team.
Field of Expertise: Manufacturing or Distribution

Proven track record of implementing and managing comprehensive EHS programs and achieving measurable improvements in safety and environmental performance.
Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage a diverse workforce.
Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks effectively.
Experience in conducting EHS audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
