SERVICE COORDINATOR: EMERGENCY SERVICES (EVENINGS)

Service Coordinator: Emergency Services (Evenings)
Base pay range: $19.15 - $30.23/hr. Shift: Evenings with some weekends and holidays required. Call rotation required. Department: Patient Access - Emergency Services.
Responsibilities
Act as liaison between management, health care providers, and support staff to ensure communication.
Instruct and advise staff on changes in policies, procedures, or working standards.
Assist in the training and orientation of Patient Service Representatives and/or Patient Account Representatives.
Perform all aspects of unit-specific tasks to ensure all tasks of the revenue cycle are completed.
Maintain accurate provider schedules in the computer system.
Resolve complex billing issues and assist with performance monitoring, interviewing, hiring, and related processes.
Oversee department projects and supervise daily operations.
Monitor daily workflow and production, adjust priorities, and manage staffing and time off requests.
Review/audit contracted collections for appropriate collections.
Support staffing schedules and payroll-related time and attendance in accordance with MU Health Care policies.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; four years of customer service or clerical experience. Education may substitute for experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Supervisory experience.
