In addition, the department manages over 21,000 acres and 230+ parks, nature preserves, greenways and facilities. POSITION SUMMARY Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation is excited to add a Sr Administrative Support Assistant to the team at Eastway Regional Recreation Center! This position will assist in the operations of the reception desk, as well as support other programming areas and amenities around the facility. The incumbent will provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions, provide tours of the facility, manage facility rentals and enroll patrons for memberships and programs. In addition, they will also manage safety protocols, compile and present reports, and other administrative duties as assigned. The selected candidate will be an integral part of our team and must be committed to providing quality customer service experiences to all patrons. The schedule for this full-time role will require flexible availability as it will be based on business/facility needs, consisting of opening shifts (as early as 5:00am) and evenings. This position will also work rotating weekends. Experience in recreation facility administration roles Exceptional written and verbal communication skills ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide administrative support to internal departmental staff Respond to inquiries and resolves administrative issues that may arise Prepare written correspondence such as memos, emails, presentations, forms, and other documents Coordinate meetings, interviews and assist with program preparation Prepare, develop or maintain reports, manuals, or interview documents Conducts moderately complex research Perform confidential data entry, create, organize and maintain files Maintain supply levels and ordering stock Use computers for various operations such as database management Answer telephone or greet visitors and handle or direct inquiries to the appropriate persons according to the need/issue presented Operate office equipment: fax machines, copiers, or phone systems and arrange for repairs when equipment malfunctions Set up and manage paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, or maintaining documents, such as correspondence, or other material Compose, type, and distribute meeting notes, agendas, routine correspondence, or reports, such as presentations or expense, statistical, or monthly reports Some position may be required to provide general guidance and direction to lower-level staff MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Experience: Minimum for four (4) years of administrative experience Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Combination of relevant education and relevant experience accepted?
