Salary: $66.00 Hourly Job Type: Part-time adjunct pool Representative Duties
Provide instruction in a full range of Mathematics courses, including Arithmetic, PreAlgebra, Elementary Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, Trades Mathematics, Survey of Mathematics, Elementary Statistics, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Finite Mathematics, Business Calculus, Analytic Geometry and Calculus I, II, and III, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra. May teach at other campus sites, day or evening classes, weekend classes, large classes, distance learning, using multiple teaching methodologies, and act as a tutor in the math lab. Participate in student recruitment and articulation of transfer programs; maintain subject matter currency; develop and revise curriculum; use computer and multimedia technology; engage in professional activities. Minimum Qualifications
Master\'s in mathematics or applied mathematics OR Bachelor's in mathematics or applied mathematics and Master\'s in statistics, physics or mathematics education OR valid credential authorizing full-time teaching of Mathematics at the California Community College level; OR the equivalent. If claiming equivalence, submit an APPLICATION FOR EQUIVALENCE with supporting documents. A demonstrated sensitivity to diverse backgrounds of community college students. Note: Degrees and credits from accredited institutions; foreign degrees must be evaluated if from outside the U.S. Knowledge & Abilities
Ability to work with diverse student population and colleagues; promote innovation in teaching and service. Ability to work with students with a wide range of skills and goals. Ability to develop curriculum, including online/different modalities. Ability to participate in recruitment and articulation with local schools, colleges and universities. Effective oral and written communication; maintain subject matter currency; assess student learning outcomes.
