Organization : SOME (So Others Might Eat) Position : Individual Philanthropy Officer (full-time) Compensation : We offer our employees a competitive compensation and benefits package. Salary range: $115,148.00 to $121,773.60, and may be commensurate with experience. Reports to : Senior Director, Individual Philanthropy Schedule : Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (40 hours per week); Some evenings and weekends, if needed. Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of approximately 100–150 donors and prospects, focusing on major and principal gifts to support SOME’s annual giving and Capital Campaign priorities. Develop and implement strategies to identify, cultivate, retain, and upgrade major gift prospects while strengthening mid-tier and planned giving pipelines. Build meaningful donor relationships to advance SOME’s mission and ensure long-term philanthropic support. Collaborate with the Development Team and programs to involve donors through volunteerism, special events, and other engagement opportunities. Coordinate with key stakeholders to meet or exceed dollar and visit goals, with a focus on securing new multi-year gifts in support of a capital campaign. Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of SOME's mission, strategic plan, key programs, and funding priorities. Communicate SOME's priorities effectively and match donors' philanthropic interests to funding priorities. Contribute to and review written materials, including donor strategies, briefings, solicitations, and acknowledgments to meet quality standards. Utilize and update SOME’s donor database or CRM by recording activities, contacts, gift proposals, and strategies in accordance with current policies. Qualifications

Required : Bachelor’s Degree and three to five years of experience with major gifts ($10,000+) for a 501(c)(3) human services provider or similar organization, OR ten years of major gifts experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and donor databases/CRMs. A passion and commitment to SOME's mission. Preferred : Capital Campaign experience or experience managing multi-year commitments; Salesforce experience; Graduate degree, CFRE, CAP, or relevant professional certification is highly regarded. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Ability to manage a portfolio of 100–150 major gift donors and prospects. Proven track record of closing major gifts and stewarding donor relationships. Knowledge of moves management and fundraising best practices. Professional demeanor and good judgment when interacting with staff, leadership, and high-net-worth donors. Strong communication and writing skills; ability to work with confidentiality and accountability. Experience developing and executing donor strategies and maintaining accurate donor records in a CRM. Ability to collaborate with the Development Team and programs to engage donors and prospects. Special Notes : This position requires ability to travel locally as needed.
