The VSCEB is recruiting for multiple ranks depending on the candidate's qualifications (please refer to the required and preferred qualifications section below). As the successful candidate you are expected to establish a dynamic, externally funded, nationally recognized research program, teach core and elective undergraduate and graduate courses in chemical engineering, mentor a diverse group of students, perform professional service, and publish scholarly work.VSCEB is excited to welcome outstanding candidates working in experimental heterogeneous, homogeneous, or bioinspired catalysis who are eager to harness machine learning and artificial intelligence to tackle pressing challenges in energy, environment, bioeconomy, and health.Preference will be given to candidates working in research areas that strengthen our existing research programs such as catalysis, CO2 capture, plastic recycling, computational catalysis and electrocatalysis. Successful candidates are expected to build collaborations within VSCEB and with the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, other WSU departments, nationally and internationally.**Additional Information:****9-month Academic Salary (*Commensurate with experience and qualifications):***Assistant Professor 9-month Academic Salary Range: $105,000 - $115,000Associate Professor 9-month Academic Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000Full Professor 9-month Academic Salary Range: $140,000 - $150,000In accordance with , the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position.
