$280-$300 daily rate ; rates are negotiable and subject to change. This job is fully
remote, 1099 contract . Certification:
Copy of Certificate-Certification by the National Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf, or have achieved a score of 4.0 or above on EIPA, the ESSE-I/R or the NAD/ACCI assessment -or- Proof of qualification for a waiver. NCLB Compliance:
Proof of 48 semester units from an accredited college or university; or 2) Associate’s degree or higher; or 3) CBEST (Plus passage of CODESP Instructional Component); or 4) Passage of a Butte County Office of Education approved comprehensive Local Assessment Test (CODESP); or 5) Passage of another district approved Local Assessment Test. Grade level:
Pre-k up to age 22. Schedule:
2025-26 School Year; part-day or full-day; Interpreters would be supporting students in general education classrooms most of their day. This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position following the school district's calendar.

Provide sign language interpretation in classroom settings, translating accurately between spoken language and sign language in both directions. Deliver virtual instruction as part of the Fullmind remote teaching model. Support students in general education classrooms most of their day, covering a range of subjects as needed. Participate in a virtual skills demonstration and submit a background check as part of the application process. Prior online interpreting experience is a plus. Qualifications
Proficiency in sign language with the ability to interpret both ways (spoken language into sign language and vice versa) accurately. Strong listening and communication skills to effectively translate and convey information. Understanding of subject matter to interpret in various classroom settings, including higher-level classes. Knowledge of child development and the ability to assist in core subjects like reading, writing, and mathematics; interpersonal skills, emotional maturity, and patience when working with children, including those with hearing impairments.
