CFD Research Corporation, a small, but growing, 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Engineer to join our Systems Engineering Team in Huntsville, AL. The MBSE Engineer will report to the Systems Engineering Group Leader and lead and collaborate with the team on the execution of model-based systems engineering. This role would work across multiple programs in varying stages of the product acquisition life-cycle. Essential Functions
Utilization of Cameo Enterprise Architect 2024 for the establishment of new systems models and maintenance/updates of existing systems models.
Ability to navigate the systems engineering process through various lifecycle phases of different acquisition programs.
Lead the process in aligning test/analysis data and supporting documents with verification requirements within systems model.
Lead requirements management process and assist in configuration management.
Generate and maintain interface control diagrams within systems model.
Participate in requirements generation - specifically requirements decomposition and derivation as required.
Develop schedule alongside Systems Lead for meeting program deliverables.
Generate satisfy and verification matrices as necessary to generate relationships between elements.
Generate activity diagrams to support system behavior definition.
Ability to adapt and support programs utilizing systems engineering as needed.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Systems Engineering and 3+ years of related experience
Experience using Cameo
Experience using Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
Use Cases
State Machines
Sequence Diagrams
Experience in SysML diagramming tools
Candidate must be a US Citizen and meet eligibility to obtain/maintain a security clearance
Desired Qualifications
Active DoD Secret clearance
Knowledge of Teamwork Cloud (TWC)
Experience with requirements development process
Experience with requirements verification
Experience generating interface control documentation
Knowledge of Software/model repository environments
Knowledge of program SDRL/CDRL deliverables
Strong analytical and communication skills and ability to work individually and with teams
