We are seeking a Trust Administrator II to join Premier Trust, a member of Osaic. The Trust Administrator is responsible for the basic administration of assigned accounts. The selected candidate will represent the company in business activities and contacts with customers, outside professionals and beneficiaries relating to these accounts. This position may have discretionary distribution approval based on Board approved levels. The Trust Administrator II ensures compliance with all policies and procedures governing trust functions and applicable state regulations. The position may be responsible for one employee. Responsibilities
Administer accounts in accordance with the terms of the governing instrument and in a manner consistent with the needs of principals, beneficiaries, and remaindermen. Contact or correspond with persons, agencies, and organizations that have an interest in any aspect of an account. Maintain awareness of new business opportunities and advise or consult with other officers on details of proposed plans; communicate information to marketing administrator for follow up. Assist in analyzing the need of funds according to trust needs of beneficiaries. Coordinate and review the preparation for filing federal and state tax returns for trusts. Establish and maintain client data. Initiate and/or assist in the funding of new accounts. Interact frequently with subordinates, peers and functional managers. Operate personal computers and necessary programs to obtain and process data. Maintain strict confidentiality of all records and data. Answer telephones, emails, questions, and direct callers to proper personnel. Ensure compliance with all company policies, state laws and regulations. Comply with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), OFAC AML, and USA PATRIOT ACT policies, procedures, by properly verifying identity, maintaining records, and consulting lists before opening an account. Comply with compliance policies and procedures. Ensure proper risk-rating of customers as outlined in the Customer Identification Program. Report any customer suspected of suspicious activity to the BSA/Compliance Officer. Participate in required annual BSA/AML/OFAC and Compliance training. Maintain punctual attendance, adhere to breaks, and attend required meetings and training. Collaborate with others and contribute to a positive team environment; demonstrate openness to others’ views and provide/receive feedback. Understand business implications of decisions and align work with strategic goals. Treat people with respect, keep commitments, and uphold organizational values with integrity and ethics. Uphold EEO policies and promote a diverse, harassment-free workplace. Follow policies and procedures; complete administrative tasks accurately and on time; support company goals and values. Perform duties safely and report unsafe conditions; comply with OSHA standards applicable to your actions. Prepare timely and accurate initial and annual trust reviews. Review and take necessary timely action on system ticklers. Prepare and submit discretionary requests to the TAC committee. Focus on and complete personal goals established annually; stay current with regulatory rulings and CE courses as needed. All other duties as assigned. Education & Basic Requirements
Education
– Bachelor’s Degree preferred; HS Diploma or GED with significant practical experience in financial services, specifically trust administration, will be considered. Basic Requirements
– Minimum two (2) years of trust administration experience. Intermediate knowledge of state trust compliance regulations and trust operational policies. Intermediate knowledge of trust policies, procedures, and products/services. Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.). Typing skills to meet production needs. Strong mathematical skills and ability to interpret data and graphs. Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to follow instructions and produce clear reports. Problem-defining ability, data collection, fact establishment, and drawing valid conclusions. Organizational and time management skills; ability to work independently or with a team; ability to delegate when necessary. Valid driver’s license and vehicle if required for duties. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship (per posting). Preferred Requirements
