Amentum . We are launching people to the Moon and Mars and are looking for someone to contribute to NASA-related ground systems, flight hardware processing, and launch operations in support of programs including the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services. Responsibilities
Be responsible for managing multiple databases including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. Installation, patching and upgrades of databases; backup and recovery of databases using RMAN and data pump. Performance tuning and optimization; Oracle Net configuration and Oracle Client Support. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field with at least 15 years of IT experience. Must have extensive Oracle database experience. Proficient in Oracle Enterprise Manager and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). Experience supporting Middleware technologies such as Oracle WebLogic, Apache Tomcat, and Oracle APEX; familiarity with enterprise applications such as Supply Chain management and work control systems. Availability to work off-shift and weekends to support production problems and planned upgrades. Job Requirements
Must be able to meet physical requirements as described (e.g., ability to climb stairs to access equipment, wear protective equipment). Willingness to travel to support position requirements; airline travel may be involved. Good communication skills; ability to work with customers, co-workers, and management. Work Environment
May be required to work inside and outside throughout the test complex and travel between site locations. Walking on uneven terrain; climbing ladders and platforms may be necessary. All work performed in accordance with NASA and company safety standards. Equipment and Machines
Computers and printers are used for producing reports and schedules; variety of testing equipment. Attendance
Full-time position with potential overtime, including weekends, depending on task. Shift work may be required; dependability and punctuality are essential. Other Essential Functions
Ability to communicate ideas effectively in writing and verbally; travel to support position requirements as needed. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and safe. Compliance with drug-free workplace requirements and potential government security clearance in the future. Maintain a positive work atmosphere and good relations with customers, clients, co-workers, and management. Access to Kennedy Space Center Amenities
