Navy ERP Senior Business Solutions Analyst - Patuxent River, MD
Location: Naval Air Station (NAS) Patuxent River, MD and Webster Outlying Field (WOLF) at St. Inigoes, MD Clearance Required Active Secret Clearance required Note:
This position is contingent upon contract award. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens and able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance for this role. While the company operates as a remote-first organization, this position will be performed onsite at Patuxent River, MD, and in St. Inigoes, MD, for the duration of the contract. Overview
The Navy ERP Business Solutions Analyst will provide functional and operational support to sustain, enhance, and deploy the Navy ERP/ERP+ solution across the Command. This role will partner with Command stakeholders, Navy process owners, and enterprise teams to analyze business requirements, evaluate system impacts, develop documentation, and coordinate testing activities. The analyst will also support production operations, business initiatives, and deployment activities to ensure Command business operations are aligned with Navy ERP modernization efforts, including the transition to SAP S/4HANA. Strong knowledge of policies such as DoD 5000, FAR, FMR, Navy ERP, SAP S/4HANA, etc. Key Responsibilities
Business Solutions Sustainment Support: Analyze system deficiencies and recommend resolutions or workarounds. Support business needs analysis and develop white papers, justifications, or system engineering documents for new capabilities. Evaluate Navy ERP requirements and assess impacts to Command operations. Prioritize and recommend Navy ERP work items for release planning. Review functional design change documentation, consolidate Command feedback, and ensure accurate requirements. Evaluate system releases and coordinate activities to minimize impacts. Coordinate quality assurance and test activities for software, business process changes, and upgrades. Identify test candidates, track progress, and validate results in Navy Business Office (NBO) tools. Validate production releases to ensure items function as designed and recommend corrective actions. Analyze and recommend resolutions for Segregation of Duties conflicts. Develop and maintain end-user training documentation, troubleshoot training environments, and support Command training efforts. Maintain Command Business Process Rules. Production Operations Support
Support development and implementation of interface processes. Research and resolve interface and batch processing issues, communicating with Command stakeholders on resolution and status. Integrate ERP into Business Contingency Plans to address potential downtime. Monitor Navy ERP production schedules and job failures. Business Initiatives Support
Evaluate impacts of emerging business initiatives on Command operations within Navy ERP. Support process changes and new ERP capabilities. Identify opportunities for process improvement leveraging ERP functionality. Assess applicability of future functionality deployments (asset, inventory, warehouse, and supply management). Participate in working groups, facilitating collaboration with Commands and Navy process owners using Agile/SAFe methodology. Support audit readiness and processes for financial statement audibility. Assist with technical upgrades and migration activities from SAP ECC 6.0/SCM to SAP S/4HANA. Support enterprise integration efforts across Navy and DoN agencies. Navy ERP/ERP+ Deployment Support
Provide implementation and post-implementation support for Navy ERP/ERP+ upgrades and deployments. Required Experience
At least fifteen (15) years of hands-on experience in one of the following areas: Business Operations, Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Test & Evaluation, and Training. Recognized expert with demonstrated industry and public service leadership in a Relevant Technical Discipline. Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA implementations. Required Education
MS or MA degree in a Business, Management, or Relevant Technical Discipline. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: A BS or BA degree and an additional four (4) years of experience can be substituted for an MS or MA degree. Additional Qualifications
Knowledge of ERP functional processes such as finance, supply chain, asset management, or logistics. Experience supporting testing, quality assurance, and training in ERP environments. Familiarity with DoD/Department of Navy processes and audit requirements. Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
