Position Summary We are seeking a highly experienced

SAP Business Process Optimization Specialist IV

to provide business solutions sustainment support for Navy ERP operations. The specialist will deliver expert analysis, evaluation, and recommendations to ensure effective sustainment and enhancement of ERP-enabled business processes. This role involves leading analysis of command business needs, developing documentation for new or enhanced functional capabilities, and supporting Navy ERP release planning. The ideal candidate will be a recognized expert with demonstrated leadership in business operations and ERP implementations, bringing extensive experience in SAP ECC or S/4HANA. Strong knowledge of policies such as DOD 5000, FAR, FMR, Navy ERP, SAP S/4HANA, etc.

Key Responsibilities

System Analysis & Recommendations

– Perform detailed analysis of system deficiencies and provide recommendations for resolution, mitigation, and/or workarounds.

Business Needs & Documentation

– Support the analysis and coordination of command business needs; develop white papers, justifications, and system engineering documents for new or enhanced functional capabilities.

ERP Impact Evaluation

– Evaluate Navy ERP requirements to determine impacts on command business operations.

Work Prioritization

– Assess outstanding Navy ERP work items for relevance and impact; provide prioritization recommendations to support release planning.

Business Process Leadership

– Employ business process models, activity flows, and data models to recommend phased revisions to operations and organizational procedures.

Facilitation & Mentorship

– Lead or facilitate process experts in identifying existing and proposed business solutions; direct and mentor junior staff in process mapping and sustainment support activities.

Change & Transformation

– Drive mission alignment, change management, and business transformation efforts to align operations with evolving requirements.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following: Business Operations, Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Test & Evaluation, or Training.

ERP Expertise:

Demonstrated experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA implementations.

Leadership:

Recognized expert with industry and/or public service leadership in a relevant technical discipline.

Must have a Secret Clearance for this position

Education:

MS/MA in Business, Management, or a relevant technical discipline.

Substitution:

A BS/BA and 4 additional years of relevant experience may substitute for the MS/MA requirement.

Desired Skills

Proficiency in process mapping and business process modeling tools.

Strong facilitation skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Experience in large-scale ERP sustainment within DoD or Federal environments.

Excellent communication skills for writing technical justifications, white papers, and leadership briefings.
