POSITION REQUIRES LOCATION IN COTTAGE GROVE, WI WITHIN 60 TO 120 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT. Telecommunication Tower Apprentices will learn and perform a variety of field-specific duties. We travel throughout the US, scheduling employees for 2-3 weeks in the field at a time, with time off after each deployment. Employees seeking higher pay can opt for longer assignments. Tower Technicians must be able to climb heights over 500 feet, lift more than 50 lbs., and travel extensively out of state, including overnight and weekends. TowerMRL provides all training, certifications, base pay (including travel time), individual hotel rooms, and per diem for incidentals during overnight workdays. All new employees will undergo tower and rescue training before their first deployment. NEW EMPLOYEES MUST PASS THE FOLLOWING FOR EMPLOYMENT: Preemployment Drug Screening Preemployment DOT physical and ability to obtain a medical card Integrity Survey Background Check Driver Record Review Training and Skills Week BENEFIT PACKAGE: Medical coverage through a self-funded plan, with 50% company subsidy Disability plans Retirement plan with company match after eligibility Professional Development Programs (seminars, conferences, internal training) Hourly Wage:
$24.00 to $28.00 per hour. Additional Compensation & Benefits: Required fall protection equipment CLC hotel card for hotel payments $35/day for meals while traveling (reimbursed on paycheck) Required safety training and some PPE Cell phone for work and personal use after 30 days Training includes:
OSHA 10 (Telecom), Climber certification, PPE, RF awareness, JSA, SOW, CPR/First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens, and technical skills like rigging, material handling, and equipment operation. Responsibilities include:
inspecting towers, performing repairs and upgrades, operating equipment, ensuring safety compliance, and extensive travel (95% out of state, including weekends). General Requirements:
Valid driver’s license, high school diploma (some college preferred), good analytical and communication skills, ability to work independently, physical ability to climb towers over 500 ft., lift 50+ lbs., and travel extensively. Must pass tower climbing certifications and maintain a good driving record. Seniority level:
