This role requires a positive attitude and ability to work in a team to overcome complex problems. Responsibilities
Design and plan network communications systems Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture Provide detailed information for hardware and software selection and implementation techniques to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements Conduct testing of network design Maintain technical expertise in routers, firewalls, switches, gateways, IPsec tunnels, and related network hardware and software interconnections Evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance network capabilities Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Working knowledge of CISCO / Juniper network devices and configurations Compliance with DOD 8140 IAT Level II, holding Sec+, CISSP, CASP, or other DoD-compliant certification Working knowledge of Linux distributions Top Secret security clearance required prior to start Desired Skills
Working knowledge of network routing protocols such as BGP / OSPF Experience applying STIGs to network devices Experience implementing and managing IPSEC tunnels Experience working with TACLANES Experience with monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting complex WANs Experience creating network diagrams and designs using Visio Additional Information
