Overview
HERS Advisors has partnered with a large, full-service law firm who are looking for a
Conflicts Attorney
to work in their West Los Angeles office (hybrid). The
Conflicts Attorney
will work with Attorneys, other conflicts department staff, and the Firm’s General Counsel to help identify, evaluate, and resolve ethical and business conflict issues.
Responsibilities
Conducting comprehensive research of relevant parties to identify or rule out potential conflicts of interest
Reviewing and analyzing conflict reports to provide concise evaluations of potential conflict issues along with recognized steps for resolution
Serving as an escalation point for Conflicts Analysts and coordinating with them on conflict issues through to resolution
Researching, analyzing, and drafting conflict waivers, engagement letters, and ethical wall memoranda to ensure potential conflicts are addressed and resolved
Collaborate with responsible Attorneys and the Firm’s General Counsel to determine appropriate terms of engagement, and where needed, negotiate engagement, outside counsel guidelines and conflict waiver terms with clients
Qualifications
Juris Doctorate required
4+ years of conflicts experience is required
