Certified Asbestos Investigator

Location: Iselin, NJ / New York, NY
Annual Expected Pay Range: $80,000 USD - $100,000 USD
Your Responsibilities
Conduct building inspections and investigations for asbestos and asbestos related hazards.
Provide asbestos abatement monitoring and air testing.
Issue detailed reports in regards to all asbestos related activities on assigned projects.
Handle a variety of tasks including environmental investigations and assessments, regulatory compliance, asbestos and lead paint inspections, and remediation oversight.
Field monitoring of abatement projects in accordance with applicable federal, state and local regulations.
Provide technical support and report writing.
What We’re Looking For
BS in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or other related field.
5-10 years experience managing projects and report writing.
NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Asbestos Investigator Certification.
NYS DOL Licensed Asbestos Inspector Certification.
Strong knowledge of NYC rules and regulations as well as NYS.
Ability to comprehend/review construction drawings and knowledge of building components.
Proficiency with Excel/Word.
Strong technical writing and multi‑tasking skills, safety awareness, and a good record of safe work practices.
40‑hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.
Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
Excellent communication skills.
Desired Certifications
OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety and Health Training.
