Your Responsibilities as an Industrial Hygiene Professional
Conducting building inspections and investigations for asbestos and asbestos-related hazards.
Provide asbestos abatement monitoring and air testing.
Issuing detailed reports in regards to all asbestos-related activities on assigned projects.
Handling a variety of tasks including environmental investigations and assessments including regulatory compliance, asbestos and lead paint inspections and remediation oversight.
Field monitoring of abatement projects in accordance with applicable federal, state and local regulations.
Technical support and report writing.
What we're looking for
BS in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or other related field
5–10 years experience managing projects and report writing
NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Asbestos Investigator Certification
Strong knowledge of NYC rules and regulations as well as NYS
Ability to comprehend/review construction drawings; knowledge of building components
Working knowledge of Excel/Word
Strong technical writing skills, ability to multi-task, safety awareness, and a good record and understanding of safe work practices
40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred
Valid driver's license & good driving record required
Desired Certifications
OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety and Health Training

$80,000 - $100,000 USD
