This is a full-time role for an experienced candidate to operate as a paralegal and office lead. Exceptional organizational and communication skills are required due to ongoing and direct contact with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts, as well as conducting research and managing relations with experts and investigators. The position is based in Concord, CA, with the opportunity for remote work. Responsibilities
Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, and related applications Prepare pleadings and discovery materials Ensure compliance with local rules for counties in the Bay Area (especially Alameda and Contra Costa) Maintain ongoing communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts Coordinate with experts and investigators; manage related logistics Support office operations as the lead paralegal Qualifications
Legal research skills using Westlaw, Lexis, and related applications Competence in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Law Toolbox, and related applications) Ability to produce sound legal research results Strong written and verbal communication skills Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience Experience with California civil litigation, Code of Civil Procedure, and Discovery Act Excellent organizational and time management skills Eager to learn and advance in a firm that promotes from within Details
