What do our Termite Technicians do? Termite Technicians protect customers’ properties from wood destroying organisms. They are the first line of defense in preserving and safeguarding properties through inspections, prevention, and treatment services that provide peace of mind for customers.
Responsibilities
Identify customer\'s termite problems and have knowledge of termite behaviors and habits to determine remedial steps
Perform termite treatment services safely and according to company guidelines and standard practices
Apply anti-termite treatments to structures according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions
Communicate to the customer critical conditions conducive to termite activity and discuss procedures and structural modifications
Verify that job specifications are appropriate for each work order
Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment
Complete production forms documenting services provided
Interact with customers and explain services provided
Essential Job Functions
Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations
Prepare the job site for treatment
Enter and exit structures and crawl spaces; climb over and on top of structures; ascend and descend stairs and ladders
Be comfortable working 20 feet up on a ladder and in small confined spaces
General laborer, carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter and attic experience is a plus
Ability to work on roofs and high areas
Lots of moving around — regularly sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, up and down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including an OSHA-compliant respirator, and work in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways
What do you need?
Clean shaven face for safety reasons (rebreathers must seal properly)
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license from state of residence (company vehicle and gas card provided)
At least 1 year of customer service experience; termite control experience is a plus
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Be flexible with working hours, Monday–Friday and Saturdays as needed
Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and local regulations (covered by us)
Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure); follow instructions for mixing on product labels
Pay Range Hourly: $16.50 - $22.40
