In this role, you operate machines as a Technician, monitor processes within your area, and ensure safety, production, process, and quality standards are met while achieving on-time delivery commitments to customers. You are the first point of contact across all assigned production lines during your shift. You will execute maintenance activities and machine setups according to schedules and assist in troubleshooting and guiding Technicians. Additionally, you share your machine knowledge to facilitate team performance. Essential Functions/Key Deliverables Machine & Operation Operate machines in your process area (Front End, Deco, Back End), considering material types, tolerances, cutting tools, coolants, lubricants, and machine speeds. Adjust processes to maintain stable production. Ensure quality consistency according to specifications, SOPs, work instructions, and sampling plans. Perform inspections, cleaning, reporting, and execute Autonomous and Preventive Maintenance plans, assisting Technicians as needed. Recognize machine malfunctions, diagnose issues, perform repairs or adjustments, and escalate when necessary. Read and interpret system reports to plan repairs, overhauls, setups, and operations. Participate actively in daily changeovers and qualify machines/products after maintenance or shutdowns. Cover similar processes in other lines as assigned, sharing knowledge and supporting team goals. Maintain and apply knowledge of machines and processes. Collaborate with Technicians, serve as a first contact point for issues, and communicate effectively via radio and other media. Train Technicians on daily tasks, monitor training effectiveness, and support implementation of procedures and standards. Monitor process performance indicators proactively, maintain records, and respond to trends to meet company objectives. Knowledge/Skills/Experience Vocational education in Mechanical, Technical, or related fields is a plus. Ability to operate across all lines and formats (Front End, Deco, Back End). At least 3 years’ experience as a Mechanic or Technician in manufacturing or industrial settings preferred. Proficient in medium machine operation and basic hand tools. Knowledge of BRC, HACCP, occupational health and safety regulations. Basic US measurement knowledge. High attention to detail, proactive, with strong teamwork and communication skills. Physical Demands Activities vary from occasional to constant, including standing, walking, manual manipulation, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Work Environment Work may be in loud, hot environments depending on weather conditions.
