Overview
AWS Infrastructure Services owns design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We keep the cloud running, support all data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling. We tackle supply chain challenges and need talented people.
Responsibilities
Join a diverse team of software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.
Collaborate across AWS to deliver safety, security, and capacity at low cost.
Ensure overall availability and reliability of data center operations to meet or exceed defined service levels.
Perform in‑depth hardware and network diagnostics, follow up with physical repair, and participate in an on‑call rotation.
Install equipment, create documentation, innovate solutions, and perform site‑level project work.
Work independently and with a team; prioritize, organize, communicate, and react quickly.
Shift work that includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
1+ year of computer networking experience.
High school or equivalent diploma.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; group lifts for 41+ pounds.
Work in cramped and/or elevated locations; bend, lift, stretch, and reach.
Stand and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.
Work in a noisy environment.
Work shifts longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations.
Physical requirements are expected with reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
