Overview The Administrator of Transplant Programs provides executive leadership and oversight for all transplant services at UF Health Shands. This leader is accountable for planning, developing, and managing the full scope of transplant operations—including financial performance, program growth, regulatory compliance, and personnel management. Working in close collaboration with Medical and Surgical Directors, this role ensures exceptional quality outcomes, patient safety, and positions UF Health as the provider of choice in transplant care.

Responsibilities

Lead daily operations of transplant programs, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality care.

Develop strategic plans for growth, marketing, and program development, driving increased referrals and national recognition.

Oversee all financial aspects, including budgeting, revenue cycle, and contracting with third-party payers.

Ensure compliance with UNOS, CMS, Joint Commission, and all regulatory standards.

Direct recruitment, retention, and development of multidisciplinary transplant staff.

Monitor program outcomes through data‑driven Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.

Foster strong communication and collaboration across inpatient, outpatient, and community partners.

Represent UF Health nationally through participation in UNOS, OPTN, and other transplant leadership forums.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in business, nursing, or a healthcare‑related field (required).

Minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience in a solid organ transplant program.

In‑depth knowledge of transplant program management, including compliance with UNOS, CMS, and Joint Commission standards.

Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams with a focus on quality, safety, and patient experience.

Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, contracting, and payer relations.

Demonstrated success in program growth, marketing, and strategic planning.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
