Electricians/Instrumentation Technicians – Fixed Plant
to join the maintenance team at the Kennecott Concentrator. This role will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, replacing, installing, calibrating, and maintaining electrical and instrumentation equipment and systems. This role is a great opportunity to work in Fixed Plant - Concentrator. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be: Recognizing malfunctioning equipment and diagnosing problems Working in Concentrator or field, operating mobile, stationary and other plant equipment or machines to facilitate installation or repair work Dismantling, cleaning, repairing, replacing, laying out, installing, maintaining, assembling, and calibrating all concentrator equipment Performing rigging; driving truck or other mobile equipment to transport tools, materials, parts, and machinery What you’ll bring To succeed in this role, you will have: The equivalent of a 2-year AS or AAS degree in electrical/instrumentation and/or an electrical journeyman’s license Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, prints, schematics, and electrical component and circuit troubleshooting Knowledge of programmable logic controllers and variable frequency drives Basic A/C and D/C theory Pass a basic electrical & instrumentation abilities practical test Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (Days & Nights) It will also be beneficial if you have: Experience in electrical maintenance (specifically fixed plant), industrial electrical craftsman, hydraulic, pneumatic, or basic welding experience What we offer We are committed to providing our employees with a generous benefits package.
