Overview
As a Designated Coordinator, you will oversee the program management for homes supporting individuals with disabilities.
Shifts and Compensation Shifts: Two direct support shifts a week, Monday and Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
$1,000 Hiring Bonus
(paid as $500 at 6 months and $500 at 12 months).
Although hours are primarily Monday–Friday, you may be requested for emergencies and to meet the program’s needs.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in a field related to Human Services and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; OR
An associate’s degree in a field related to Human Services and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; OR
A diploma in a field related to Human Services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; OR
A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to Human Services and disabilities and four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in clauses 1 to 3.
Job Summary In this role, you will assure each individual is provided guidance, encouragement, support, comfort, security, and safety through relationship building. You will advocate that each individual’s health and wellness needs are met and that they are accomplishing their outcomes, hopes, and dreams by promoting independence in performing essential life skills. You will monitor and assure the administration of medication and medical treatments as prescribed by physicians. You will monitor and maintain each individual's plan and financial records per regulation and program policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Supervise, support, train, and evaluate Direct Support Professionals to empower them to advocate for the individuals served.
Manage accounts payable, payroll records, petty cash/individual accounts, and budget monitoring.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with counties, families, stakeholders, and community organizations/groups.
Maintain documentation, perform record keeping, and participate in periodic meetings/trainings.
Additional Requirements
Driver’s license required.
CPR and First Aid (when required) and medication administration training required or obtainable after hire.
Training in supervisory skills, team building, and leadership.
Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) clearance required.
Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) with a satisfactory driving record required.
When managing an ICF/MR program, a bachelor’s degree (with QDDP designation) is required.
