As a Junior Systems Administrator, you’ll manage user accounts, maintain the security of three environments, and monitor the performance and health of systems and data-processing applications. You’ll provide insights into network performance through monitoring and management. Conduct, compile, cleanse, validate, and analyze data sets to support modeling and analysis activities. Research systems, data flows, techniques, technologies, and tools relevant to modeling and analysis. Prepare technical reports and presentations detailing assumptions, approaches, and findings. Assist in defining data requirements. Design, conduct, and evaluate models, relating results to operational benchmarks. Clearance
A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a security clearance under this position. Experience
Required skills include: 3+ years of system administration experience for U.S. Government clients. Experience with managing virtual machines, including Windows and Linux. Experience administering servers in AWS environments. Knowledge of system compliance and accreditation processes. Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios, Splunk, or Elastic. Troubleshooting skills for custom software issues. Coordination across multiple technical teams. HS diploma or GED. Ability to obtain IAT Level II certification within 180 days. Desired Skills
Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible and Desired State Configuration. Knowledge of source control tools such as Git. Proficiency in programming languages like Python. Experience with scripting languages like Bash and PowerShell. Technical documentation skills. Experience with Elasticsearch or Elastic-stack products. Ability to handle security advisories and apply vendor patches. Maintaining software infrastructure across environments. IAT Level II certification preferred. Benefits
